Scanning

I purchased a high speed professional Kodak scanner this year. I can scan 30 photos a minute. I just scanned about 500 of my moms pics in less than an hour. I love it. This is to ensure the safety of my family photos.....keep them safe from fire, flood, and the tool that time takes on old photos. My mom has promised to bring a bunch of pictures with her every time she comes to visit and eventually we will get everything scanned. And last time I went to Arizona I took the scanner with me and was able to scan some photos. If you ever need photos scanned just ask me and I will help you get them scanned.

Here are some of my favorite pictures I scanned tonight.

I am the youngest of five children. I scanned all of the pictures from the year 1982 so the next few pics are from the year I would have been the age of 4 or 5.
This is me and my siblings at Sea Port Village in San Diego
Cheryl, Chuckie (now goes by Chuk..and that is not a typo, he dropped the "C"), Christen, Charlie, and myself (channon....does the listing of my siblings names fill you in on why I am "channon" and not "shannon"

I always love pictures of me and my big brother. I don't have a lot of memories of him growing up because of the age gap. So pictures of us together when I was young remind me..."oh yeah, I did have a big brother growing up." And yes, that is a Mun chi chi (sp?) I am holding and a rubik's cube. Who remembers those from the 80's?

This is Easter pics. We probably just came from church. I can tell we are outside of my Grandma and Grandpa Minerva's house. This is my mom with her parents...the Minervas

This is my dad. He loves remembering his old high school football days of when he played center for the Kofa Kings football team. He was the smallest center. He loves watching my nephews play high school football.
My mom, she is so funny. She still puts that same hand up just like this when she is talking and walking. She is probably bossing someone around in this picture too.....many things have not changed....mom if you are reading this, you know I love you!

This picture is a treasure! This is my mom's Aunt Larae and Uncle Jack Spencer. That is my mom they are holding. I love this picture because I have a lot of fond memories of Aunt Larae and Uncle Jack but I only knew them when they were older. I love this picture of them when they were young. They are so special!

Channon, I love the old family photos! I might have to "hire" you to scan all my family photos. :) Seriously! I love the finished digital product, but scanning on my home system takes forever!!! I'm going to email you now about what you charge.

I love those pictures and holy cow the one of your mom with her parents is crazy, her face looks exactly like that. You know the game where the R.S. sisters put all their baby pictures on a table and you have to guess who is who. Your mom's would be a dead give away! I just want to pinch your cute little cheeks in those picts!

Channon, I really want to know about the scanner too. I know you sent me your new e-mail address and when I changed it over in my account it didn't save correctly so I still have the old address. Send me an e-mail please!!
The pics are great! Looking forward to your e-mail.
