I am excited to make some mini digital scrapbooks for my kids out of these cookbooks. The possibilities are endless. I am picking up a few of them because they are only $15 right now. I am thinking I will start with a quiet book for church. And then maybe a portfolio for my 1st grader of her favorite artwork she has created. I am ordering a bunch of these at the price of only $15. So cool!

Natalie Is Home

I have not posted about Natalie in quite a while. I continued to visit her the last few weeks on Fridays. And even got in some weekend time with her because Maelee kept begging to go see her. Every week I saw tremendous improvements. She is so determined. She is so determined that she broke free of the hospital and is now home. It is crazy to think that the accident was just less than two months ago. Wo Ye Of Little Faith....I am speaking to myself when I say this. I thought she was going to be in the hospital and rehabilitation center much longer than this. But she proved foolish people like myself wrong. Her school planned to hold a benefit concert long on this last Saturday. In planning it they never imagined that she would be home in time for it. Natalie a few weeks ago got word from her dr's that she could get a special pass to come home for the day of the concert. Natalie worked hard to convince her dr's that she would be ready to be home permanently by the time of the concert....she did it. She is home!!!!

If you want to read about the concert and view a picture you can check out this link HERE I was sad that I was not able to make it. I have taken on a weekend job tending to my friends newborn. Scott was at work.

I went and visited her one last time on Friday because I wanted one last moment alone with her. She is little miss social butterfly and I knew that she would be bombarded by visitors and friends when she got home. We had a great last day. My friend Lisa, the YW president, went up with me. oh, and Delana. We went to lunch with Natalie and her mom down in the cafeteria. Natalie graduated from pureed food to "SOFT" food. Natalie's interpretation of "SOFT" food is a rack of ribs!!! She is so funny.

Welcome home Natty! I love you!

Christen's Crazy Family

I am missing my sister very much. I had to post this picture for her because she is stuck on "the stupid island" with only dial up internet. She can't get pictures via email and the only way she can view pictures is on my blog. My friend took this picture of her family and I am posting it so she can see it.

I love this funny picture. This is an exact depiction of what my sister's family is like in real life. I love real life photography.

Happy Birthday Mom

The weekend got by me and I did not get to blog about my mom....it was her bday. I love the fact that my mom and dad's birthdays are only one week apart. It makes it so easy to remember. They are literally only one week apart, born the same year and everything. I know they were in heaven together and could not stand to be away from each other for too long so my mom followed my dad down one week later. Then they had to only wait 13 years until they met again, yep they met at Gila Vista Jr. High in Yuma Arizona.

Here is my mom's gift: take the time to look at it here, it is a true gem! I think the best book I have ever put together because I put the most thought into it. Check it out by clicking Here

Happy Birthday Mom! She got the book on Friday and finally got a hold of me on Saturday and the two of us could barely make it through the conversation through the tears. She loved it so much, as she has all of her books. I think Heritage Makers books should come with a warning.....Book Will Make Mothers Cry!

The Years Gone By

from 2000 and fast forward to 2008:
What is different? So much!

I was working on some projects and came across these pictures and I wanted to share them. In December we were out having our family photos taken when we walked by the place that we had our engagement pics taken. I asked my friend to take our family pics in that same spot. So here is our little spot, or little corner.

Share The Love

When I lived in Yuma, Arizona I used to frequent a scrapbook store in town, the only one there was. I would go there often because it was next door to my OB/GYN while I was pregnant with Maelee and next to my favorite Mexican food joint, Chile Pepper. There was a sweet young girl that worked in the scrapbook store named Linsey Chadwick. She is now known as Linsey Farrar. I don't know her very well, outside of the scrapbook store, but we have become Blog Buddies. I love her blog. Especially a craft blog she has. She is very talented.

She participated in a "pay it forward" craft challenge. So now I am too. She has made me a little surprise, a handmade craft and it is coming in the mail. I can't wait to get it. So here are the rules on how you can participate in it too:

Rules: Be one of the first three bloggers to leave a comment on this post, which entitles you to a handmade gift! (Make sure I have access to your blog)

Winners: You must post this challenge on your blog, meaning that you will Pay It Forward, creating a handmade gift for the first three bloggers who leave a comment on YOUR post about this giveaway!

The Gift: The gift you send can be from any price range and you have 365 days to make/ship your item. This means you should be willing to maintain your blog at least until you receive your gift and have shipped your gifts. Remember: It’s the Spirit and the Thought That Count!

I will post my present from Linsey as soon as I get it. She just emailed me that it is on its way. I can't wait. Most of all, I can't wait to create a fun gift for three lucky people. So leave me some love! And I will send you some LOVE!!!! Share the Love!

Happy BDAY To My Two Favorite Men

He played a joke on the girls by telling them to look at something under the tree. then when they looked her shook all of the snow onto them. They laughed so hard. He is the funnest dad!!!!

I tried to post Scott's Bday on his actual Bday, the 31st, but it would not load the pics. I was on top of things for once and tried posting on his bday, but no luck. I am still a slacker.

Scott got an early present for his Bday....SNOW DAY! I love him because he is the biggest kid.

The other favorite man in my life is my dad. His bday is today on the 5th. His big saying right now is "Will you still need me when I'm 64?" I just gave his age away, but he has been singing that song to everyone so he gave it away first. He is an awesome dad. He is funny. He likes to walk up to strangers in groceries stores and talk to them. He loves sports. He has always been very athletic. He meets weekly at the gym with his raquetball buddies and has done that for years. I just love him!!!!

he is always so proud of the fact that he was on the first football team for the Yuma Kofa Kings. This picture makes him laugh because team mates of his had three digit numbers on their jerseys. He is number 66. He was the smallest center in the state of AZ.
